Account Deletion

Introduction

WorkDesk24 is a workforce and field-activity management platform provided by NSG Technologies.

WorkDesk24 user accounts are generally created and managed by an organization's authorized administrator through the WorkDesk24 web application.

The WorkDesk24 Android application does not currently provide a self-service account deletion option for employees.

This page explains how a WorkDesk24 user can request account deletion or deactivation and how account-related information may be handled.

Who Can Delete a WorkDesk24 Account?

Because WorkDesk24 accounts are created and managed by organizations, the organization's authorized administrator is responsible for managing employee accounts.

An administrator may delete or deactivate a user account through the WorkDesk24 web application, subject to the organization's account permissions and applicable requirements.

Employees cannot currently delete their own WorkDesk24 account directly from the Android application.

How to Request Account Deletion

If you are a WorkDesk24 employee/user and want your account to be deleted or deactivated, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact your organization's authorized WorkDesk24 administrator.
  2. Request that your WorkDesk24 employee account be deleted or deactivated.
  3. The administrator can manage your account through the WorkDesk24 web application.

Your organization may have its own internal procedures for handling employee account deletion requests.

What Happens When an Account Is Deleted?

When an administrator deletes a WorkDesk24 user account, the user's ability to access the WorkDesk24 application may be removed or disabled.

Depending on the organization's configuration and the type of information involved, information associated with the account may include:

  • Employee profile information
  • Email address
  • Mobile number
  • Profile photograph
  • Employee identification information
  • Attendance records
  • GPS/location records
  • Journey and travel records
  • Customer visit records
  • Order records
  • Payment collection records
  • Customer feedback
  • Photos associated with business activities
  • Other activity records

Deleting or disabling a user's access does not necessarily mean that all historical business records associated with that user are immediately deleted.

Retention of Business Records

WorkDesk24 is an organization-managed business application.

Organizations may need to retain certain information after an employee account has been deleted or deactivated for legitimate business or legal purposes.

This may include information required for:

  • Accounting and financial records
  • Attendance and employment records
  • Customer and business records
  • Order history
  • Payment collection records
  • Audit and reporting purposes
  • Dispute resolution
  • Fraud prevention
  • Security
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Where information must be retained for legitimate business or legal purposes, such information may remain stored even after the associated user's application access has been removed.

Deactivation vs. Deletion

An organization may choose to deactivate a WorkDesk24 user account instead of permanently deleting it.

Deactivation may prevent the user from accessing the WorkDesk24 application while allowing the organization to retain historical employee and business records.

Deletion may remove the user account or associated information where deletion is permitted and appropriate.

The exact treatment of information depends on the organization's requirements, applicable law, contractual obligations, and the type of information involved.
